♡ SKINCARE.
You MUST cease the use of Retin-A or Retinols for 14 days prior to your treatment avoid using on or around the area for a further 30 days post treatment. If used before 30 days, it can cause the pigments to fade prematurely. If you resume the Retin-A or Retinols after the 30 days, please be aware that the continued use on the area will fade your permanent makeup prematurely.
Do not have any chemical peels, microdermabrasions, laser or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 3-4 weeks before procedure.
If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin of any kind, moles or other skin imperfections in or around the area of the procedure, please inform me prior to the appointment.

♡ FOOD & DRINK.
No alcohol and coffee/energising drinks for at least 24 hours prior to the procedure, as they make it more likely for you to bleed whilst getting microblading done which will affect your treatment negatively (it can cause excessive bleeding, poor retention, hypersensitivity & potentially ashy healed results).

♡ Menstrual Cycle.
Schedule your treatment so that you are not on your menstrual cycle. Getting a treatment while on your menstrual cycle can make you hyper-sensitive at the site being treated.

♡ AFTER CARE.
♡ The day of the treatment - journey home if longer than 1 hr:
Gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb any excess lymph fluid. (Lymph is a clear fluid-like substance that might slightly ooze from eyebrow area.) You may or may not have any during this time. But if you do, we want to avoid letting it dry on the eyebrow area and form a crust. Blotting this fluid will prevent any crusting on the brows.
Once you return home you will gently wash to remove any lymph or excess pigment, and keep the brows clean during healing.
♡ Instructions for washing:
Morning, midday & evening. Using dove soap (plain bar) or Sanex. You will do this at the sink, everyday for 7 days. Use fingertips to lather & cleanse the eyebrows. Gently but thoroughly rub the area in a circular motion, then gently rinse with temperate water. Make sure that all soap is rinsed away. Very gently, and thoroughly, pat dry with kitchen roll.
Keep the brows clean and dry, avoid excess moisture such as creams, oil, sweat etc. Do not submerge brows in the shower. Please wash your face at the sink.
DO NOT use any other cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants. ONLY what is recommended.
♡ Important Reminders
Use a fresh pillow case, and try not sleep on your face or eyebrows.
Let any flaky dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking will cause loss of color. Your flakes will gently fall off by themselves when they are ready to.
No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 3 weeks after treatment
Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for at least one week. You can lightly exercise, but nothing that will cause overexertion or extreme sweating whatsoever.
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks after procedure. Once fully healed, protect your eyebrow with SPF. Any prolonged sun exposure will cause premature fading.
Avoid swimming, or any kind of water/steam based activity until your eyebrows have completely healed.
Avoid applying any type of makeup to your brows whilst healing.
Keep your hands off of the area. No picking or scratching the treated area.
DO NOT USE growth enhancement products such as Latisse, Revitabrow, Grande lash, one month prior and after treatment has fully healed as it may shift your color.
♡ Important Note About Showering:
You will want to limit the time you spend in the shower. Avoid using very hot water and creating steam. This will create unwanted moisture on the face. Avoid taking long hot showers for the first 7 days. And when in the shower, avoid water completely on the eyebrow area.

♡ THE HEALING PROCESS.
♡ Day 1 - Straight after the brows have been Nanobladed there are several things to take into consideration due to the “wound” being present. The hair strokes are much darker, sharper, more precise and defined when fresh. The negative space between the hair strokes will look very prominent due to the greater contrast (this is not the case once healed & settled).
♡ The healed finish is typically around 30-60% lighter & softer; please keep this in mind for final realistic expectations.
The pigment will look much warmer in tone on some skin tones, due to the hair strokes having some blood sitting underneath the pigment. Lymphatic fluid may be present.
Typically fairer skin have more visible intensity & “wound factor” when fresh, with darker skin tones benefiting from less of a dramatic look when fresh.
♡ Day 2 - Brows will become a bit darker, this is due to oxidation of pigment & any blood underneath the pigment going from red to darker red as the healing begins. Strokes may feel slightly raised & textured when washing the brows.
♡ Days 3-7 - Brows become a little flaky as dry skin & excess pigment shed. No more than slight brow dandruff will appear if aftercare is followed properly. As the excess flakes away, the underneath will look barely noticeable due to the contrast between the darker areas still healing, and the pigment now sitting underneath layers of “milk skin”.
♡ Days 7-14 - Brows will appear very light, due to “milk skin” common in tattooing - layers of dry skin now healing over the pigment making it seem quite faded or “cloudy” looking. On low contrast skin, it can be barely visible. This is a completely normal part of the healing process.
♡ Days 14 - 21 – Pigment gradually comes back through, becoming clearer & more noticeable, but not as intense as when fresh. You will begin to see any areas that need to be retouched. Typically most clients will require a retouch on the first session as retention varies considerably depending on skin type. The body will attempt to break down semi permanent ink whilst healing. Retouching is based on how your skin has healed (retained ink) and what we want to achieve. It can be simply retouching existing healed ink layering the same colour again for more prominence or going darker and fuller.
♡ Brows are not considered complete without a retouch appointment (this must be factored in & is a normal part of cosmetic tattooing).
Whilst some clients are lucky enough to have skin that holds ink very well (strong retention) & not require a retouch, most do. Retouching appointments are bookable at a lower charge of £65.
